Camden Council Or Waste Collectors?
For a few items you can get out to the pavement on a weekday, the council is hard to beat. Here’s how the two compare.
| Camden Council | Waste Collectors | |
|---|---|---|
| Price | £25 for up to five items or 20 black bags, £50 for up to ten, £75 for up to fifteen. Large electrical items cost £10 extra for up to two. | Single item £49. Bigger loads priced by how much van space they take, fixed before we arrive. |
| When | Monday to Friday, booked through Veolia. | Any day of the week, usually the same or next day. We work 24/7. |
| Where from | Outside your home at street level. On estates, arranged through your caretaker. | Wherever it is: upstairs, the basement, the garage, the loft or the back garden. |
| Carrying | The council crew won’t come inside or carry anything out. Everything must already be on the pavement, so you have to bring it down yourself or find someone to help before they come. | No need to move anything. We come in, carry it all out and load it ourselves. |
| Free collections | Two a year if you’re over 65 or get full Council Tax Support. | The same fair fixed price for everyone, agreed before we come. |

Camden Rubbish Removal Questions
Yes. We do rubbish removal and waste collection across the whole borough: Camden Town, Chalk Farm, Primrose Hill, Kentish Town, Gospel Oak, Hampstead, Belsize Park, Swiss Cottage, West Hampstead, King’s Cross, Euston and Bloomsbury. We also cover the neighbouring parts of Islington, Haringey, Barnet, Brent and Westminster.
If you can get everything to the pavement on a weekday, the council is cheaper and we’d say so. People book us when that isn’t possible: a top-floor flat with no lift, a weekend move, renovation waste, a garage or garden full of things, or a job that needs doing today.
Yes. A lot of Camden flats are in converted houses with steep stairs and no lift. The council only takes items from street level, but our team carries everything down for you. The stairs are part of the price we quote.
Yes. Regis Road only accepts two 50-litre bags of rubble and DIY waste at a time, which doesn’t go far on a kitchen or bathroom refit. We take rubble, old units, flooring, plasterboard and timber, priced by weight.
Yes. Camden’s bulky waste collections only run Monday to Friday. We work seven days a week, including early mornings and evenings.
Yes. Regis Road doesn’t take trade waste, so shops, market traders, offices and landlords use us instead. Every business job comes with a waste transfer note for your records.
Most Camden jobs are done the same day or the next. Send us a photo and we’ll reply with a fixed price and a time.
