Household Rubbish Removal, Done For You
A lot of the household rubbish removal London calls we take sound alike: a spare room that slowly filled up, a loft nobody has opened in years, or a pile by the back door that grew after a move. It’s more than the bin will hold, and too bulky or heavy for the car, so it stays where it is.
That’s where we come in. Send a photo of the rubbish on WhatsApp or through the quote form, add your postcode, and you’ll get one fixed price back, usually within minutes. Plenty of jobs are collected the same day or early the next morning, weekends included.
Our domestic rubbish removal team does all the lifting. We bring it down from any floor, load the van, sweep up and take it for reuse, recycling or licensed disposal. Domestic waste removal with a waste transfer note every time, so you always know where it went.

Why people call us instead
- Items are still upstairs, in the loft or in the cellar
- There’s more than a council collection will take
- The fridge, carpet or kitchen units need to go too
- You’d rather not hire a van or book a tip slot
- You want it gone today or tomorrow
- You need a waste transfer note for your records
How A Home Collection Works
Four steps, and three of them happen on your phone.
Photo or video
Send a photo or short video on WhatsApp or the quote form, with your postcode and the floor the rubbish is on.
Your fixed price
We reply with a single price for the lot, usually in minutes. What we quote is what you pay.
A time that suits
Pick a slot, from early morning to evening, weekdays or weekends. Same-day collections are often possible.
Carried out and gone
We take everything out, load up, tidy round and send it for reuse, recycling or licensed disposal.
What Household Rubbish Removal Costs
The price depends on how much room your rubbish takes up in the van. A top floor with no lift, a long carry or something very heavy can add a little, and we always tell you before you book. Loading, labour and disposal at a licensed site are part of every price.
| Load | From a London home, for example | Price |
|---|---|---|
| One item | An armchair, a mattress or a handful of bags | from £49 |
| A small load | A spare room’s clutter or a few pieces of furniture | £100–£135 |
| A bigger load | A loft or garage clear-out, or a room of furniture | £175–£250 |
Bigger loads are on our full price list. To compare what each borough charges for its own service, see council bulky waste collection prices across London.
Ways To Get Rid Of Household Waste In London
Free and paid options, and what each one is good for.
Your council bins and bulky service
Everyday household waste goes in your bins. Most London councils also run a bulky item service for a fee, usually a few items left outside at street level on a booked day.
The local recycling centre
Every London borough gives its residents access to a reuse and recycling centre. Household rubbish is free to drop off by car, though most sites need a booked slot and limit vans and trailers.
Selling or giving it away for free
Furniture and appliances that still work often find a new home on Facebook Marketplace, Freegle or Gumtree, if you can get them out of the house.
A licensed collection from us
Best when there’s a lot of it, it’s upstairs or you need it gone quickly. We take everything in one visit, straight from inside your home.
Whoever takes your rubbish, check they hold a waste carrier licence. If an unlicensed collector dumps it, the householder can be fined for fly-tipping.
Council Bulky Collection Or A Private Collection?
For a few items you can put outside, the council service is a good option. Here’s how it compares for everything else.
| Typical council service | Waste Collectors | |
|---|---|---|
| How much | A set number of items per booking, priced by the borough. | Anything from one item to a full house, priced from your photos. |
| When | The next free date on the council’s calendar. | A day and time you choose, often today or tomorrow. |
| Where from | Outside at street level, by your door or bin store. | Any room, any floor, the loft, the garage or the garden. |
| What goes | Bulky household items. Fridges, carpets and DIY waste are often excluded. | Mixed loads in one visit, including appliances, carpets and garden junk. |
| Carrying | You get everything outside yourself. | We dismantle, carry and load it all. |
Council services differ from borough to borough and can change, so check your own council’s website before booking.
Sorted, Recycled And Fully Licensed
Every load is sorted once it’s off the van. Furniture and appliances that still have life in them go for reuse, while metal, wood, cardboard, textiles and electricals are separated for recycling. Only what’s left goes to a licensed waste site.
We’re a registered waste carrier with the Environment Agency, and you can look us up on the public register. Every household waste removal comes with a waste transfer note for your records.

Household Rubbish Removal: Your Questions
Everyday waste goes in your council bins, and you can take most household items to your borough’s recycling centre for free if you have a car and book a slot. Furniture in good condition can often be given away on Freegle or Facebook Marketplace. For bulky items, upstairs rooms or a lot of rubbish at once, a paid collection is usually the simpler option.
It depends on how much space your rubbish takes in the van, and on things like stairs or a long carry. Typical prices are in the table above, and every quote includes loading, labour and disposal.
Send us a few photos of everything that needs to go. We’ll price the whole lot in one go and clear it in a single visit, from every room and floor, so you don’t need a skip or several tip runs.
Yes. Domestic waste and household rubbish both mean the waste that comes from a home, as opposed to business or construction waste. We handle both, along with small amounts of DIY waste.
Yes. Fridges, freezers, mattresses, TVs and other electricals go with the rest of your load, and each is sent to a licensed site that recycles it properly.
Not always. If the rubbish is in the front or back garden, or a neighbour can let us in, you don’t need to be there. We’ll send a photo once it’s cleared.
Often, yes. A photo sent in the morning usually means a slot that afternoon or evening, otherwise first thing the next day. We work every day of the week.
Yes, with every job. It shows that your waste was collected by a licensed carrier and taken to a licensed site.
